Who is Taoqi?
Taoqi is a 4★ Havoc Defense agent using a Broadblade and one of the original standard characters in Wuthering Waves. As a Defense-specialty agent, her role is shielding the team — she generates a robust Havoc shield that absorbs incoming damage and her Outro provides a Havoc DMG Bonus to the next character. She is a niche pick, most relevant in Havoc teams (Danjin, Camellya) where her Outro buff has full value. While not widely used in competitive content, she provides a zero-cost defensive option for players who find survival challenging.

When should I use Taoqi over Verina?
Taoqi is preferable when you need hard damage mitigation rather than healing — in boss fights with unavoidable burst damage, a shield absorbs fixed amounts regardless of how fast you take the hits. Verina's healing is better for sustained damage over time. Both have their place.
Does Taoqi's shield work for all team members?
Her shield targets the currently active character. You need to manually swap to each character before using Barrier if you want all three shielded. The shield persists through character swaps but only regenerates when Taoqi is back on field.
Is Taoqi used in competitive play?
Rarely — in competitive WuWa content, offensive output generally outweighs defensive utility since skilled players dodge most damage. Taoqi sees more use in casual play, harder story difficulty, or when players are learning boss patterns.
