Who is Lupa?
Lupa is a 5★ Havoc Sub-DPS and Fusion team buffer using a Sword who introduced a brand-new archetype to Wuthering Waves: the Wolflame resource system. Her kit revolves around building 50 Wolflame points to access Wolf's Gnawing — a Stamina-consuming Heavy Attack that deals Fusion DMG and marks enemies. She is best known as Encore's new top teammate, surpassing Sanhua by providing higher Fusion DMG buffs, extra DMG Amplification, and effectively doubling the output of sub-DPS teammates like Sanhua in Mono Fusion compositions. She is viable even without her signature weapon.

Yes, in most situations. Lupa provides higher Fusion DMG-related buffs than Sanhua especially with her Signature Weapon, delivers an extra 7% DMG Amplification, and effectively doubles Sanhua's damage output if both are run together in a triple DPS Mono Fusion setup. Sanhua remains a valid budget replacement if Lupa is unavailable.
What is the Wolflame system?
Lupa accumulates Wolflame through her Resonance Skill and other hits. At 50 Wolflame, her Heavy Attack becomes Wolf's Gnawing — a Stamina-consuming Fusion Heavy Attack that marks enemies and restores 15 Wolflame per hit. Managing Wolflame generation and Stamina together is her core optimization loop.
Can Lupa work without her Signature Weapon?
Yes. Prydwen confirms she is fantastic with F2P and higher-invested teammates alike. Commando of Conviction covers her damage floor. The Signature provides a noticeable buff upside but is not required for endgame viability.
