Who is Danjin?
Danjin is a 4★ Havoc DPS using a Sword and the most accessible Havoc carry in Wuthering Waves. Her signature mechanic is self-sacrifice — she consumes her own HP to power her Resonance Skill and Forte attacks, trading health for significantly amplified Havoc DMG. She has built-in healing through her Forte Circuit to compensate, creating a risk/reward rhythm that is unique among 4★ characters. A natural first Havoc carry before Camellya is obtained.

At max Forte gauge (built by HP-consuming skills), Danjin enters a briefly empowered state dealing enhanced Havoc combo damage AND healing a portion of the HP spent — partially recouping the Petal Storm cost.

Her HP self-sacrifice is partially offset by her own Forte Circuit healing — she does not need an aggressive healer, but Verina or Baizhi ensures comfortable HP management.
At S2+ (from duplicate standard pulls) her Petal Storm HP cost is reduced slightly, increasing sustainability.

Is Danjin hard to play due to the HP mechanic?
Her HP management adds a layer of attention — you need to avoid using Resonance Skill when near low HP and trust that Forte Circuit will heal you back. In practice it becomes second nature after a few fights. A reliable healer (Verina, Baizhi) makes it very comfortable.
Is Danjin worth building before getting Camellya?
Yes — as a 4★ Havoc DPS she covers all Havoc content effectively. Camellya is a large upgrade in sustained DPS and survivability, but Danjin clears all game content including endgame with the right team.
Does Danjin work in non-Havoc teams?
Her Havoc DMG is element-specific, and the Midnight Veil set is Havoc-locked. She works in any team composition that needs a melee DPS, but you lose the double-Havoc resonance bonus and set synergy outside Havoc teams.
