Who is Cartethyia?
Cartethyia is a 5-star Aero Sword DPS introduced in Version 2.4. Known as the Blessed Maiden, her companion Fleurdelys is integral to both her identity and kit. She is the only DPS in WuWa who scales primarily off HP rather than ATK — an unconventional build path that rewards full investment. Prydwen states: "In her best conditions, Cartethyia will perform as the best DPS in the game." She requires specific teammates to stack Aero Erosion to 6 for her AoE nuke to reach maximum power.

All of Cartethyia's damage is based on her HP stat — build for Max HP, not ATK.
Enemies need Aero Erosion stacks for her nuke damage to peak. Ciaccona, Aero Rover, and Chisa each apply 3 stacks. Full 6 stacks are required for maximum output.
Grants 10% unconditional Aero DMG Bonus in Main Slot + 10% extra specifically for Cartethyia. If either takes a fatal blow, she gains a Shield equal to 20% of her Max HP.
Other team members rotate to fully buff Cartethyia before she delivers a massive AoE nuke burst.

"Even her F2P team is good enough to make for a top tier team composition." However, peak conditions require her signature weapon and her teammates' signatures too — she is one of the most investment-heavy characters in WuWa.
For F2P players: Ciaccona and Aero Rover are accessible and form a strong team without signatures. Do not build her with ATK-focused weapons — HP is everything.

Why does Cartethyia scale off HP instead of ATK?
Her entire kit multiplies off HP — Fleurdelys' shield, her nuke damage, and her passive scaling all use Max HP as the base. This is an intentional design to make her unique among WuWa DPS characters. ATK stats provide no value — always prioritize HP%.
What is Aero Erosion and why do you need 6 stacks?
Aero Erosion is a stacking debuff on enemies. Each stack amplifies Cartethyia's AoE nuke damage. At 6 stacks (the maximum, requiring two characters who each apply 3) she reaches peak damage. Below 6 stacks, her output is noticeably lower. Ciaccona is the primary Erosion applicator.
Is she worth pulling without her signature weapon?
Yes, but lower ceiling. Her F2P team (Ciaccona + Aero Rover) is still top tier. The signature gives tons of HP which is her primary scaling stat — pull the weapon if you can, but she is functional without it.
