Who is Haniel?
Haniel is a T0 Psyche-attribute buffer — one of the most accessible and effective generic buffers in NTE. She deploys Hootie, a portable speaker that stays on the field regardless of which character is active, granting the team an ATK bonus that scales with Haniel's Base ATK. Prydwen describes her as "an accessible and effective generic buffer, especially valuable for F2P." She also provides Stain access (Psyche + Lakshana reaction) for Lakshana DPS teams, Nova access (Psyche + Chaos) for Chaos DPS teams, and fits perfectly into Nova teams as a passive damage amplifier through her off-field Ensemble mechanic.

Haniel is a free character — obtainable without any pulls. She is the best free support in NTE. The Blow up the Crowd Arc should be pursued as a priority given her role. ATK% substats are the simple build target — no complex stat thresholds needed. Her Awakenings further amplify her off-field value; pursue them progressively.

Why does Haniel's ATK buff scale with Base ATK?
Hootie's team ATK bonus is calculated from Haniel's Base ATK — the flat value from her level and ascension, not %ATK from gear. This means leveling Haniel fully and ascending her are more impactful for her team buff than stacking %ATK gear, though %ATK still contributes to the Base ATK calculation at high values.
What is the Stain reaction?
Stain triggers when Psyche and Lakshana attributes are on the same team. It increases Psyche and Lakshana damage taken by affected enemies. Haniel (Psyche) + Hathor or Skia (Lakshana) enable Stain — Aurelia then benefits massively from the Psyche resistance shred.
Does Haniel need field time?
Minimal. Hootie stays on field permanently, so the ATK buff and Four-Part Harmony stacks accumulate even when Haniel is on the bench. Her main field time is casting her Ultimate (for the Speedy Hedgehog ATK buff proc) and refreshing Hootie. Most of her value is fully off-field.
