Who is Edgar?

Edgar is a T3 Cosmos-attribute healer whose sole function is healing the team. Prydwen states he "solely brings healing to his teams and interferes with the Charge reaction that a lot of teams are built around" — making him actively detrimental in Charge-focused compositions. He is one of the most dependable Cosmos healers in terms of raw healing volume, with a massive HP pool and a channel-heal Skill that scales with his HP. However, at launch NTE does not have high-damage content that demands dedicated healers, and other supports (Sakiri, Haniel, Adler) provide more utility alongside their sustain. Use Edgar only when survival is genuinely impossible without a dedicated healer.

技能简介

Channel Heal (Skill)

Long-channel healing ability that restores teammate HP over time, scaling with Edgar's HP — substantial sustained healing.

Redirect Skill — Wild Current

Used to trigger Healing Bonus from his best Arc (Call of the Twisted City).

Cosmos attribute

Contributes to Blossom reaction — but displaces a more useful unit from a Charge team slot.

A1 + A2 Awakenings (highest priority)

A1 provides clear emergency healing; A2 adds team-wide defensive buffs, transforming him from healer to sustain support.

HP scaling

All healing output scales with Max HP — build full HP%.

配装攻略

🔮 最佳遗器/声骸套装

Thea's Night Tavern (best-in-slot): Increases HP and Healing Efficiency — directly scales both his healing volume and healing output rate. Roll HP% on main and sub attributes.

最佳光锥/武器

Call of the Twisted City (best-in-slot): Increases Healing Bonus whenever he uses Redirect Skill (Wild Current). Since Wild Current is a core part of his rotation, Healing Bonus is active for most of his on-field time.

👥 最佳阵容

Charge team (non-optimal): Edgar + Nanally + Hathor — Cosmos (Edgar) + Anima (Nanally) + Lakshana (Hathor) generates Charge Esper Cycles; however, Edgar displaces a more useful support and disrupts the Charge reaction uptime that many teams depend on.

Use only when survival is critical: Replace a DPS or utility support with Edgar only in content where the team dies without dedicated healing.

可跳过Patch 1.0

T3 — only brings healing, which is rarely needed in NTE 1.0 content. Actively interferes with Charge reaction teams. Other support units provide healing-adjacent utility while also buffing or debuffing. Skip unless you absolutely need dedicated healing for a specific challenge.

Edgar is an A-rank — his copies are obtainable without limited pulls over time. However, the F2P recommendation is to invest these resources elsewhere. A1 and A2 are his most impactful Awakenings if you do build him. His channel heal is simple and accessible for new players learning the game.

常见问题

Why does Edgar interfere with Charge teams?

The Charge reaction requires specific attribute combinations to trigger. Edgar's Cosmos attribute does contribute to Charge cycles, but his Support Skill and kit does not synergize with the Charge reaction rhythm that teams like Nanally + Hotori + Zero rely on. His presence displaces a character who would contribute more to the Charge loop and overall team damage.

When should I use Edgar?

Use Edgar only when you are dying in a specific piece of content and no amount of gear investment fixes the survivability issue. In most NTE 1.0 content, Adler's shield or Fadia's damage-absorption mechanic provides enough survivability without sacrificing utility.

Is Edgar bad?

Not inherently — he heals reliably and is easy to use. He is rated T3 because the current NTE meta does not demand a dedicated healer, and his presence costs the team a slot that would provide more offensive or utility value from another character.
