Who is March 7th?
March 7th (Preservation) is a 4★ Ice shielder following the Preservation Path. She provides single-target shields scaled from her DEF, applies a Freeze follow-up counter when her shielded ally is attacked, and charges her own HP for a powerful counter-attack. Shields a single ally (scales with DEF); if that ally is attacked, March 7th launches a counterattack dealing Ice DMG and potentially Freezing the enemy.
Deals Ice DMG to all enemies; has a high Freeze chance on all targets.
Gains Charge stacks when allies are attacked; at max Charge unleashes a powerful Ice counterattack.
Freeze enabler and early-game shielder; pairs well with Pela for Freeze chains.

As a Freeze enabler in niche teams yes, but she has been largely power-crept in sustain roles by 5★ units. She remains an excellent free shielder for early and mid-game.
What is the difference between March 7th Preservation and March 7th The Hunt?
Preservation March is a shielder/support; Hunt March is a completely different character — a sword-wielding Follow-Up Attack DPS released in version 2.2.
