Who is Boothill?
Boothill is a 5★ Fire Hunt Break-focused DPS and one of the most unique carry designs in HSR. A cowboy bounty hunter with a knack for guaranteed Weakness Implants, his kit forces Fire Weakness onto enemies through his Skill, then capitalises on Break and Super Break damage to deal enormous single-target Fire damage. He is a cornerstone of non-Firefly Break teams and is considered likely to stay relevant long-term due to his built-in Weakness bypass. In 4.2 he benefits from The Dahlia's Super Break amplification.

Marks a single target with Shackled Fetter, implanting Fire Weakness and increasing Toughness damage taken.
Steals the enemy's action and launches a powerful Fire attack that scales with Break Effect.
When an enemy with Shackled Fetter is broken, Boothill deals bonus Super Break DMG; each proc resets his Skill usage.
Enters Standoff before combat, gaining a shield and automatically entering combat in his enhanced state.

Yes — his Skill implants Fire Weakness onto any enemy unconditionally, bypassing the need for natural Weakness and enabling full Iron Cavalry 4pc value in any fight.
Is Boothill better than Firefly?
Both are top-tier Fire Break DPS. Firefly has higher ceiling damage in the right team, but Boothill's guaranteed Weakness Implant and single-target focus make him more consistent on single-boss fights in Apocalyptic Shadow.
What SPD should Boothill have?
134+ SPD is the key breakpoint to ensure he acts frequently enough to keep Shackled Fetter up on enemies. SPD is prioritised over ATK% until that threshold is reached.
