Who is Yangyang?
Yangyang is a 4★ Aero Sub-DPS using a Sword and one of the original starter characters in Wuthering Waves. Her primary role is Concerto Energy generation — she swaps in, quickly cycles her Resonance Skill and Liberation, and generates a large burst of Concerto Energy to enable fast Outro rotations for her main DPS. She also deals solid Aero DMG during her brief window and provides an Aero DMG Outro buff, making her the natural second slot for Jiyan and Calcharo teams.

Yangyang is obtainable from the standard Convene banner and provided to players early in the story — effectively free for every player.
She is the recommended Concerto filler for Jiyan teams before Zhezhi is obtained.
At S2+ (standard duplicates) her Feather Release Concerto generation increases — readily achievable through normal play.

Is Yangyang a good Concerto filler?
Yes — she generates Concerto Energy faster per second than most 4★ characters through her low-cooldown Resonance Skill and quick Liberation cast. In Aero teams she also triggers the double-Aero resonance bonus and provides Outro Aero DMG buff, making her the most efficient free Concerto filler for Jiyan.
Can Yangyang deal meaningful personal damage?
Her damage is secondary to her utility. With Sierra Gale (4pc) and CRIT substats she contributes decent Aero Sub-DPS, but her primary value is always Concerto Energy generation and Outro buffing. Do not invest heavily in her personal damage at the cost of main DPS echoes.
Is Yangyang or Sanhua better?
They serve the same role (fast Concerto filler) in different element teams. Sanhua is the Concerto filler for Glacio teams; Yangyang is for Aero teams. Neither outclasses the other universally — use whichever matches your main DPS element.
