Her Warp Trotter companion Numby acts as a separate damage source that fires independently when debuffed enemies are hit by follow-up attacks. Her "Proof of Debt" debuff increases the damage of follow-up attacks by 50% from all sources, making her an outstanding amplifier-DPS hybrid in Follow-Up Attack (FUA) teams alongside Feixiao, Dr. Ratio, and Robin.

Topaz's Proof of Debt and Numby synergy work with any follow-up attack character, but Feixiao is her best partner because Feixiao's follow-ups directly advance Numby's charge. Without FUA carries she loses most of her value.
Should I pull Topaz in 4.2?
Only if you are building a FUA team. Newer supports like Tribbie and Cipher have taken FUA team slots, reducing Topaz's exclusive relevance. She is still functional but no longer essential for the archetype.
